Final Project Works

For the past week in ISM I have been working on researching for my final project and trying to better conceptualize and visualize what I want it to look like. I have already decided on making a laparoscopic appendectomy model that would only show one step. However, I have not decided on what step I want to do: should I do the incision or the step that differentiates it from a normal appendectomy surgery? These questions are something that I hope to ask my future mentor although it is hoenstly looking like I might not have one. I say this because as I previously mentioned, it has been really difficult to find mentors that are willing to talk to a high school student, especially given their busy schedule.
However, the lack of mentor does not deter me from still doing a final project and trying to complete it to the best of my ability. I have already found a source and completed a research assessment about laparoscopic appendectomy which was extremely insightful and aided me in the early works of it. This week, I will continue to find original research assessments for my final project and trying to continue contacting more doctors in my desired field.
