This week is the start of the new nine weeks’. That also means it is the end of the school year and the last bit of my ISM work is due soon, specifically my final product. I have, thankfully, been making good progress on it with the final bit just being painting the model. I have gotten some feedback from peers, mostly those in the medical field, on what they think about the initial “rough draft” of my model. Their feedback was useful and helped me to make some conclusive decisions about things I was unsure about such as whether I should include all of the medical tools used in the surgery or just a few. I decided on doing just a few since it would also make it easier for me to paint.

In terms of mentors, I do not think I will have one in the end which is somewhat disappointing, but I am confident that I will continue doing well in my work. I have conducted interviews with two people so far however one of them was a dentist, a field I am not heavily interested in, and the other was a doctor in a really busy hospital so she is too busy to dedicate time to mentoring someone.
