Research, Interviews, and Speeches

For ISM this week I started the day by finishing up my slideshow for my Original Work Presentation and practicing actually the speech itself. It was supposed to be 20 minutes long and unfortunately for me it was only about 9 and a half minutes long. I believe it would have been longer if I included and discussed more of my research assessments that I did for my original work and also conducted more interviews. I was honestly not that nervous for the presentation but I did wish I practiced more or added something extra to make it longer.
When I practiced at home it was at least 15 minutes, but I believe that since I rushed it a bit when actually presenting it was too short. I did get some helpful feedback from the class such as trying to say less “um” and “like”, which is surprisingly pretty common in even the most famous of speakers. I discussed what I have done in the class so far like creating my original work, the one interview I have done so far, and what my future goals are for the class. I plan on conducting more interviews and starting making early models for my final project.
