Work, Work, Work

Last week on Thursday I had a presentation discussing my research and interviews. Unfortunately I did not have any interviews so instead I discussed the research I have done so far. Embarrassingly enough, I forgot I was going to present so I was unprepared for my speech but I still did decent. I got advice to slow down my talking and include image and interactive features, both of which I would have done had I remembered that my speech was that day. I personally felt that I did well since I was successful in speaking for nearly 10 minutes, even with no preparation. 

This week I plan on emailing and contacting more potential mentors in order to find a mentor because having them would greatly help in my final product and original work. So far I have emailed 20 doctors with only 5 of them getting back to me but then ghosting me after I responded to their email. I also plan on researching more about appendectomy surgery for my original work and logging those onto the required google form. Additionally, I am also going to ask my friends and other acquaintances if they know anybody in my field of interest, general pediatric surgery.
